Leon County Democrats are FIRED UP!

As the presidential campaigns move into high gear for the general election, Tallahassee Democrats are fired up and ready to go!   In fact, our work is receiving national attention. Our 'Unite for Change' event on Saturday, June 28th was recognized TWICE by the Obama campaign on its national blog.   To see the blog posts, click here and here.

Help us put this country back on track by coming to the Leon County Democratic Party headquarters at 214 S. Bronough St. (lower floor) to volunteer!   Our current office hours are:

Tallahassee Democrats beat the heat on July 4th!

We had an EXCELLENT showing at Tallahassee's Fourth of July festival at Tom Brown Park!  We set up our tent around 1pm, and our first shift of about twenty volunteers arrived soon afterwards to receive training on voter registration.

The Tallahassee Democrat estimated that up to 40,000 people visited the park yesterday, and we were in a prime location.  Thousands of people got off the shuttle busses and couldn't miss our tent as they walked to the main concert stage. 

The sun beat down on us all day, but the heat couldn't stifle the energy and enthusiasm for the next President of the United States!!  All throughout the afternoon and evening, people LINED UP to talk with us about the campaigns, register to vote, volunteer, and take a picture with our lifesized, cardboard version of Barack!
